Engine

Parallel twin design gives a compact engine package. 4 valves per cylinder provide maximum
valve area for optimum flow. Gear driven engine balancer to reduce vibration.

Liquid cooling
Maintains consistent engine temperatures for long engine life and sustained power during
hard use. Allows tighter engine clearances for quieter running. Auxiliary cooling fan helps maintain
optimum coolant temperature for best performance, fuel economy and reliability. Instrument panel includes
temperature warning light.

Fuel system
Precise fuel metering assures uniform power delivery at all engine speeds. Quick throttle
response. 3 pipe type catalysers to reduce emissions.

Transmission
6-speeds allow the engine's full potential to be utilised providing excellent acceleration and cruising.

Chassis
Double cradle frame
The cradle frame offers extra protection of vital engine parts and added strength. A
rubber-mounted alloy skid-plate and sturdy plastic front brake disc shield offer additional protection when
travelling through rough terrain.

Front suspension
Long travel suspension delivers a comfortable ride over a wide range of surfaces and
provides excellent feedback.
220 mm of front wheel travel for a smooth ride when venturing off the beaten track.

Rear suspension
Rally inspired suspension with comfort and handling performance for a wide range of riding
conditions.Uni-Trak ® rear suspension with preload adjustment for a smoother ride with more comfort,
better steering and high speed handling control. It also puts more power to the ground. 200 mm of rear
wheel travel for a smooth ride when venturing off the beaten track.

Front and rear disc brakes
Single 300 mm front disc with a dual piston calliper and a rear 230 mm disc with a single
piston calliper ensure excellent stopping power and feel.
